DESIGN 22+2 is a Dutch initiative with 22 + 2 innovative designers, showing cross-over activities, surpassing the idle concept thinking that Dutch design is known for, and conceiving functional and highly original products, intended to have a longer life cycle.
Aside from their own independent design work, the 22+2 group creates products with a common subject to demonstrate how many solutions can be found to the same problem.
An international traveling exhibition will follow in the near future, but the group has already had 3 exhibitions demonstrating their no-nonsense philosophy and attractive designs, covering many fields from food design to fashion, from architecture to industrial engineering, from graphic design to illustration.
Industrial designer Ann Maes is presently the supervising mentor of 22+2.
